The majestic flow of the mighty Orange River has made us proud producers of grape cultivars found in the shelves as; Villard Blanc Wine and Juice, Chenin Blanc Wine. Our differentiator is our exclusive production of grape cultivars for Rabat Wine and Juice. Wine Not? We now are venturing, into growing cultivars for the production of Colombar Wine.

And in the dried fruit market, we are proud harvesters for one of South Africa’s leading snack brands. In energizing your body with raisins as a consumable, do let know that the health properties in our seedless Merbein raisins are cultivated with utmost care in making the best grades and packaging the very best in nutritional value. In punting an investment opportunity with Historically Disadvantage Individuals (HDIs) in the horticultural sector, we are also hoping to attract a Strategic Partner. We have a capacity of 216 ha of water rights with only 49.17 under production. Our short-term target is 70ha. Our focus is set on the export market as part of our endeavour of diversifying our market foothold. Our enterprise boasts the very best in mechanization and our infrastructure is kept top-notch. We have also acquired a wide range of assets. Our Corporate Social Investment of R150 000.00 has already gone towards the construction of ablution facilities for our respective communities.

For a tour of our grapevines and inspection of our operations, we are perched in the heartland of the Northern Cape’s horticultural industry; coordinates 21˚0’18.91”East and 28˚40’41.12”South. Physical Address; 458 Standplaas Soverby, Keimoes, 8860, Kai! Garib Municipal area, Soverby, ward number 08 (5 km from Keimoes and about 35 km from Upington) in the ZF Mcqawu District of the Northern Cape Province of the Republic of South Africa. How did we catapult ourselves to such dithering heights despite being part of South Africa’s Historically Disadvantaged Individuals (HDIs)?
Established in 2010, Blocuso Primary Agricultural Cooperative is the trading arm of the Blocuso Trust (IT266/98) which is constituted by 466 families from the communities of Bloemsmond, Currieskamp and Soverby. Our foray into the horticultural industry serves as government’s land reform and agricultural enterprise development success case study.

With many years of experience and expertise acquired from a variety of employers, we have expertly navigated the storms and now bound for a harvest of prosperity with a team of six directors; 05 Male and 1 Female. Our permanent personnel are made up of fourteen farm workers (09 Male, 05 Female).

We also create temporary job opportunities for persons of the above mentioned communities with each operational phase; pruning (July-August-September), harvesting (October-November) whilst upholding the best employment practices.
